Ultimate Reset Day 3: Oh the Aches and Pains of Detoxing!

Today is DAY 3 of our 21 day reset.

I have to tell you about last night…. which would have been the night of Day 2. I was warned that when the body is going through these reset changes, one might feel some discomfort. That is what happened last night. I felt achy in my back and legs. I know the aches were more intense for me since I am still on the antibiotic. (I had a skin issue that got infected so I’ve been on an antibiotic for 3 weeks. I started the reset this week because my daughter was ready to do it and I only had 3 days left of the meds.) I’m so thankful today is the last day of that! I am also detoxing from some of the unhealthy foods I have been eating recently. Hindsight tells me it would have been good to slowly wean off the sugar and caffeine the week before starting the reset. Oh and I needed a nap today as well.

Olivia (my daughter who is doing the cleanse with me) said she had some bad dreams and she never has bad dreams. These are all things the guide said we could expect. It also said we could face some emotions releasing during these beginning stages; like, I might feel like crying or I might need to process some emotions that I have been avoiding. or blocking. Somehow, clearing the blockages from within your body has a way of freeing up emotions, too.

As I am typing, it is Day 3. i still feel some aches and pains but the good news is I took my last antibiotic pill today!! Yay! So I am expecting to feel so much better getting my body back on track without medicine in my system.

The meals have been yummy! Olivia kindly made breakfast which was scrambled eggs, 1 1/2 cup spinach, 1 piece of multigrain toast.

I made our lunch which was a microgreens salad, lentil-lime salad, and roasted pumpkin seeds.

Lentil-Lime Salad

ᖴᗩᐯOᖇITE ᖇEᑕIᑭE Oᖴ TᕼE ᗪᗩY

𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝

1 cup of cooked green lentils

1 medium carrot, shredded

1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro

1-1/2 tsp. sesame oil

2 Tbsp fresh lime juice

1 Tbsp Bragga liquid Aminos

Himalayan Salt

1/4 tsp ground cumin (to taste, optional)

Combine lentils, carrot, cilantro, oil, lime juice, Bragg Liquid Aminos, salt, cumin, and in a bowl; toss gently to blend. Cover and marinate in fridge for 2 hours before serving!

One of my daily supplements is a dense dose of power greens to aid with the body’s acid/alkaline balance. Not the yummiest so I mix it with cold water and hold my nose to drink it. :)

Let’s not forget my superfood shake!!! Today’s recipe was:

1/2 scoop vegan chocolate Shakeology

1/4 blueberries

3 tsp flaxseeds

1/4 cup of water

Dinner will be Nori rolls (kinda like sushi) with tempeh and veggies., Japanese cucumber salad and miso soup. Yum! (Picture not shown)
