Ultimate Reset

For those who follow me on Facebook, you have seen that I have started a 21 Day Ultimate Reset. I thought it might be fun to blog how things are going and maybe help give you insight into what this reset is like.

Now let me tell you what I did, how I am feeling, and what my experience has been so far. (It’s only been 2 days, so there will definitely be more to come!)

I decided to get a few things prepped beforehand so I went grocery shopping on Friday and made things like salad dressings and a few of the recipes so I wouldn’t have to cook so much during the week. That has been helpful so far!

DAY 1

I should tell you that my daughter Olivia and I are doing this together. She and I have a pretty clean diet already but we both wanted to reign in the excess snacking and the overdoing it on chocolate. Day 1 was FUN. :) It was exciting to have new recipes to try. It was a lot of food for each meal and we sometimes had a hard time finishing everything on our plates or in our bowls. Lunch was an Asian theme on Day 1 with Miso Soup and a Microgreens Salad with roasted pumpkin seeds. DELISH!!

Olivia cooked our dinner of salmon, baby potatoes, and asparagus. Portion sizes were large and our bellies were happy about that!

Olivia is also taking the supplements that go with Ultimate Reset. I am on my last couple of days of antibiotics so I decided to wait til that’s all gone before I add a supplement. I can not WAIT to be off of this antibiotic!! The great thing about this reset is the food and the supplements are designed to help the body detox. What perfect timing!

DAY 2

Today started out great with a large bowl of oatmeal and a cup of blueberries with a 1/2 cup of yogurt with a tsp of maple syrup. Soooo delicious and filling.

Later in the morning my body started feeling achy. I’d feel a twitch here or there. Then there was no denying that aches were setting in from the detox. I truly wonder if the antibiotics being detoxed are making it worse. Olivia said she felt a tiny ache as she woke up but nothing else. I have also been more tired and have needed an afternoon nap. Olivia has been a little tired as well.

Lunch was a delicious Greek Salad with homemade Greek Dressing! Soooo so good!

I think the hardest part is having a schedule where we have to be out of the house in the evenings. That’s when we have to take some extra measures to make sure we have food with us or have our meals prepped so we can eat as SOON as we get home.

All in all we are still so glad we are doing this! I’m glad tomorrow will be the last day of antibiotics so I can get that out of my system.
